June 2nd Food and Exercise Journal (feels like February)

by Alison on June 2, 2010

I’ve had enough of the rain!  Fortunately today was a rest day so I did not venture out into it, although it was National Running Day and I probably would have, had the weather not been so freaking awful.  1/2 of our typical June rainfall in one day.  Broke the record for rainfall on June 2nd by 7 AM and it rained most of the day….  I sat and wallowed in my misery and got nothing done, rain in winter is fine, even spring but come on it’s June, enough already and my garden agrees, I have lost so many crops in the last week.

So I was a slug the only thing of consequence I did was prep our room for the dogs to not sleep on the bed, ready for a night of no sleep (way to cap such a great day)  I prepared Drake’s Chair and got one of the dog beds in there for Luna, so we’ll see how it goes.

For breakfast I had a mocha, (non fat no added sugar), and peanut butter and banana on a bagel thin.  For lunch I had some chilli I found in the freezer and a mango and for dinner I actually made something! We had Smoky BBQ Pork Quesadillas with the salsa I made over the weekend.  It was a bit of heat overload as the quesadillas and the salsa were both on the pretty spicy chart.  I threw together a quick salad to go with the quesadillas and about half of the lettuce came from the garden, so that was cool 🙂
