June 29th Food and Exercise Journal

I managed a 3 mile run this morning and my hips didn’t feel any worse at the end, the proof will be after a good night’s sleep.  Tomorrow is a rest day so a day to let my hips take it all in.  It was a nice day for a run, overcast and cool but dry.  The day was leftovers except I decided to make granola bars, they turned out very tasty, not super sweet, a little chewy, just all around good.

Granola Bar

June 29th

  • Breakfast –peanut butter, banana, bagel thin, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup orange juice
  • Lunch – Leftover Chicken, Mushroom and Zucchini Pilaf, nectarine
  • Snack – Homemade Granola Bar
  • Dinner – Leftover Chicken, Mushroom and Zucchini Pilaf, zucchini, milk, granola bar

It’s good to have rest days. I used to run five days a week and nothing wore my joints out quicker. Sustainability is key. Keep it up 🙂
