June 16th Food and Exercise Journal

Today was an odd day.  Ben had a late lab session so we had a late start to the day.  I headed out to the Soos Creek Trail but felt a bit pressed for time knowing I had to be back to get Ben to work.  I ran for 50 minutes and did my full stretching but I was still sore later, not sure why.  It’s been a long time since my knees or hips were sore.  The sun is gone again so I got to run in the rain and it was COLD this morning high 40s when I headed out, BLAH!  For breakfast I had Cherry Vanilla Oatmeal, I have missed oatmeal, new breakfast rut incoming 😛 I actually like breakfast ruts it makes my life easy.  For lunch I finished off the peanut chicken soba salad and a really sweet nectarine.  For dinner I made one of Ben’s favourites (anything with feta is a winner for him) Feta Chicken Pasta it’s a super fast recipe and the flavours meld really well.  Having dinner at 8:30 sucked though.  Tired and ready for bed so that I can do my most favourite thing tomorrow, yes, it is a cross training day and I have a date with the hated bike… Sweet Dreams.

Sounds like a great run to me! Loved your interview on Robin’s blog!!

I am slow and steady like you, although I was proud that I was able to sustain a one minute sprint on the treadmill at 6.5 miles per hour! 😀

Mmm the pasta looks amazing! Just like everything else you make!
