June 15th Food and Exercise Journl

by Alison on June 15, 2010

The sun has run away again 🙁 Kerri, I blame you 😛

This morning I made a huge batch of steel cut oats, I love having breakfast made for several days especially when it’s one that normally takes a long time to cook.  At the grocery store I scored 10 Chobani yogurts for $10 and the expiration date is July!!!  Today was a rest day which is good because I was tired and the rain came back.  I’m really ready for it to go away for a few months…  Dinner, Thai Pork and Peanut Sauce, was started in the slow cooker early.  I made a slight adjustment to the recipe and added the red peppers halfway through the cooking time.  It gave them more integrity, I might shorten it even more next time.  I love the dish it’s so savoury and rich.  For lunch I had leftover  Peanut Soba Chicken Salad, hmmmm noticing a peanut theme :p  We took the dogs for a long walk today between showers.  For dinner we had the pork and peanut sauce, brown rice and snow peas.

Tomorrow I have a 50 minute run scheduled and I hope it’s not pissing rain  😛

Wow, that looks yummy!

I’m so with you about the weather…ugh.

WHere’d you get the Chobani for $10 for 10? That’s a great deal!

Albertson’s, I normally don’t shop there but I was feeling lazy and it paid off 😛

Sorry! I know, I keep thinking about what I thought; what I said about the sun! I blame me, too.

And unfortunately it is raining today. Argh. You need a treadmill. Or join the gym in MV! It’s only $16/month!

LOL I have a treadmill, I’d actually rather run in the rain. But $16 a month is pretty amazing!
