Rain, Rain Go Away!

by Alison on May 26, 2010

It rained ALL day, all day 🙁  It was a rest day and with the rain I didn’t even get a dog walk in but I did manage to get 30 minutes of activity just by going up and down the stairs etc.  It has been a cold and wet May and I’m really ready for spring or summer to show up.

For breakfast I had peanut butter, banana and a bagel thin with skim milk, for lunch I had leftover baked penne and a spinach salad and for dinner I made Lamb Burgers with Goat Cheese and Caramelized onions they were AWESOME!  Sweet, Savoury nicely balanced, just a hint of gameyness.  YUM.  Ben was worried that the lamb and goat cheese together would be too gamey but it was perfect.

Sorry your weather has been so crappy! So weird, yesterday my friend and I walked at lunch – gorgeous out! We get back and at about 3:00 p.m. it got pitch black, the rain was going sideways, 40 mile an hour winds and hail the size of dimes!

I called my husband (we live 7 miles away!) to make sure he turned off the computer, and he’s like “why, its sunny!” Turns out there was some sort of weird burst of weather JUST IN THE TOWN my work was at! So weird!

I need to try lamb, kind of scared though – but I like gyros – isn’t that lamb?

Gyros are indeed lamb. Ground lamb is a fairly cheap way to test the waters.

We had the same type of freak storm when I picked my husband up, hail, in May…

Glad we don’t have that rain…my garden is LOVING the sun!

That burger looks SO good! Just how I like it….SMOTHERED in onions!

Seriously, I HATE your Captcha Code thing. I swear, every time I post, I have to type it twice, since the first time it says I entered it wrong… 🙂

Anyways, I’m so with you about the rain. I mean, I love hearing it, but gettign any kind of physical activity outside in it is difficult.

Oh, and that lamb burger? Wow, that looks delicious!
