Farther than I have ever gone in my LIFE! April 11th Food and Exercise Journal

That’s right I ran further than I have ever run before in my life.  That would be 5 miles.  I ran 5 miles no walking, OMG.  I ran it and I enjoyed it, double OMG!  I felt good for most of the run, my left knee and hip were sore for mile 5 but once I finished and stretched they felt fine, we’ll see how they feel tomorrow but for now it’s good.  My route was pretty solid, definitely some decent hills but at least I didn’t end running mostly uphill, although the downhill at the end hurt my knee far more than the uphill did.  It felt awesome to finish it.  It was a glorious day here but fortunately not glorious until after my run 😛

I made a decent sized brunch  of eggs, hashbrowns and a bagel, I was hungry.  Ben and I took the dogs for a quick walk, only a mile but that brought my total mileage today up to 6.5, not bad.  We had a light lunch of pita and hummus and an awesome dinner of Chicken Parmesan from “The Best Light Recipe”  It’s crispy, cheesey, saucy and just all around yummy.  It is pretty awesome how crunchy it comes out given that it is low calorie, low fat only 7 points!  We had it with a lovely white Bordeaux, Roast Asparagus with Balsamic Brown Butter and a Salad.  I then finished up with some amazing dark chocolate, almost not sweet it was so dark.

All in all I just feel GOOD.  Good about my accomplishments, good about my weight loss progress, Good about myself and that feels pretty good.

Ate 27.5 of 24 points. Earned 9 activity points.

Breakfast (8.5) – Eggs (4) Hashbrowns w/ olive oil (2), bagel thin with neufchâtel cheese (2), grapefruit (0.5)

Lunch (3)–Hummus and Pita

Dinner (12)–Chicken Parmesan (7), Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Brown Butter (2), wine (2), salad with vinagrette (1)  Chocolate (4)

Woot! 5 miles – that is fantastic!! Love your eats – I was bummed, I had a coupon for the bagel thins and I could not find them at my regular store this weekend 🙁

5 miles! That’s incredible cool! You should do some 5k’s – they’ll seem like a breeze. Your food looks great, btw. I don’t eat meat, but that chicken parmesan looks mighty fine. Has me hankering for some EGGPLANT parmesan…

I have done 3 5k races at this point, one the last sunday of the first 3 months of the year, the first I did a walk/jog the second 2 I actually ran.
I love eggplant parmesan too, but meatless once a week is as much as I can convince the other half of…
