Always learning something new. April 6th Food and Exercise Journal

by Alison on April 6, 2010

Today Mary’s ebook came out A Merry Life Guide to Creating a Better Health Blog.  This book is a wealth of information and I encourage anyone new to health blogging (weight loss, fitness, healthy eating) to pick up a copy and check it out.  I used Mary’s advice a few months ago when I moved to my own domain and it was invaluable so I was sure the book would be great and it is, I’m learning lots of stuff, I skimmed it in about an hour and now I’m reading in depth and following some of that advice so if you see some changes around here you will know why.

I ran a mile for my April Mile a Day Challenge and walked about a mile as warm up and cool down.  For breakfast I had peanut butter and banana on a sandwich thin with milk, filling and it lets me check off so many of my good health guidelines, I love meals that do that.  For lunch I had  leftover cauliflower mac and cheese and a salad with vinagrette.  For dinner I made a new recipe, Tortilla Free Burritos from the newest Biggest Loser book Six Weeks to a Healthier You, some good recipes in it.  Although I did add a tortilla to make burritos, ironic given that the recipe was tortilla free 😛 it was good, Ben thinks I put in too much cilantro, there is no such thing!
