The Flu Sucks! March 8th-12th Food and Exercise Journal

On Monday the 8th we made it to the Pacific Science Center, it’s AWESOME.  The kids had been sick so we talked about only going for an hour because although they clearly felt better (running around etc) we weren’t sure how long it would last.  Everyone had a blast, we spent almost 3 hours there, doing the bugs, the dinosaurs and the planet stuff.  60 year olds and 3 year olds alike had fun as well as everyone in between.  That night we made home made pizza and Tucker was my sous chef, pretty good for a 3 year old.

On Tuesday we went to my father’s hotel and the kids joined him in the indoor heated pool and had a blast and for dinner we went to a steak house.  On Wednesday we had to travel to Santa Barbara and I got smacked with the flu bug that the kids had had on Sunday, IT SUCKED.

Thursday we were in Santa Ynez and drove up to Cambria, which is a cute little town on the Central California Coast then over to Eberle Winery for a tour and tasting in their caves.  It’s an awesome tasting with a bit about how they grow, make and bottle the wine and then into the cellars for the tasting which is a sit down affair with cheese.  Totally cool.  I was still getting over the flu so still didn’t feel tip top for dinner.

Friday we hung around Ben and I went for a walk with the dogs then I felt the need to walk up and down my mother’s driveway, it’s steep enough to make my toes slide to the front of my shoes…  But the dog walk didn’t feel very high intensity and I was feeling enough better to walk the driveway.

Lunch (12) Chicken Pot Pie

Snack (8.5) wine and cheese tasting

Dinner (8) French Onion Soup and a few bites of Chinese Chicken Salad

March 12th
