OMG its March! March 1st Food and Exercise Journal

by Alison on March 1, 2010

It’s March, how did that happen, seriously.  The year seems to be flying by and I have so much I want to get done, slow down time!

This morning I nearly ran my couch to 5k run but decided not to, I will continue with Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday.  So I did some High Intensity Interval Training and some bowflex. Part of me wanted to be done with couch to 5k earlier but honestly what’s the point its not like I will stop running when I finish the program.  My WeightWatchers  buddy who has also been my 5k buddy and I were discussing other running goals.  Neither of us loves running but we would like to see out what we have been doing.  We have another 5k on March 28th and we are talking about an 8k on May 1st, and a 10k on May 26th and the rock and roll half marathon on June 26th.  I know I will not be ready to run a half marathon but I could walk/run it there is a 4 hour time cap, but I can walk faster than that if needed, but is it worth walking a half marathon?

For breakfast I had an egg, toast and some melon, for lunch I made a spinach salad, I had an afternoon snack since we took the dogs out for a walk and were going to have a later dinner.  I had an apple with better n peanut butter, not such a fan too sweet.  For dinner we had Baked Pasta with Butternut Squash and Ricotta and Zucchini.  For a late night snack I had a vitamuffin and milk.

YUM! That squash and ricotta together must be wonderful!

Great that you have a WW and workout buddy! I’ve always wanted a partner “in crime!”
