I finished the couch to 5k program! 9 weeks of working to running 3 miles. I started walking 2 minutes running 1 minute and worked up to running 3 miles in 38 minutes. In that time I also participated in two 5k events. I’m proud of myself, I feel like I really accomplished something. I stuck with it through a cold, through an injury and through the blahs, I finished. Go me!
For breakfast I had oatmeal and yogurt with chia seeds, then did my run. I knew I would be out and about most of the day so I grabbed a snacky lunch of kale chips, a banana and string cheese. When I got home I had some pumpkin seeds and cantaloupe to hold me over til dinner. Ben and I walked the dogs then came home and had left over chicken biryani and asparagus. For a late night snack I had a vitamuffin and milk.
Tomorrow my sister and brother in law and their 2 kids, as well as my father and step-mother arrive for 5 days, I’m so excited! We have lots of fun things planned including inner tubing in the snow, should be fun with these little ones from Hawaii, they have never seen snow 🙂
