Wandering Lost… February 26th Food and Exercise Journal

Ben and I decided to take the dogs for a walk today, well I decided we should and cajoled him into it.  The sky looked grey so we checked the hour by hour forecast which informed us it wasn’t supposed to start raining until noon, so we decided to go around 10.  While walking we saw a little trail to one of the numerous storm water collection ponds, so we decided to follow it…

Nice walk through the trees and we came out the other side and proceeded to look for streets to get our bearings, unfortunately the numbers on the Avenues were going up taking us further from home but there were no through streets, eventually we ended up on our street but it didn’t go through and we ended up on a series of streets that looped back on themselves, we started down a street (Ben was sure it was the right direction) when I said we were going in circles I remembered the dump truck…  Finally pulled out the Iphone got a map and headed home.  It was wet, did I mention after the first 100 or so steps it started raining??? but hey that was okay it was only going to be a half hour walk… 90 minutes later we walked back up to the house with 2 very tired dogs and me desparate for a pee!  It made me a bit grumpy, according to Ben.

All in all it was actually a good walk and that section of greenbelt that we stumbled across would probably be pretty nice in summer.  When we got home we went to Home Depot and got some concrete pavers for the composter and set it up near the veggie garden so its ready to go now which is good as my kitchen composter is nearing full.

For breakfast I made scrambled eggs and sweet potato pancakes and for lunch I made chicken pesto paninis, so yummy.  Dinner was oven fried chicken and green beans.

Ate 24 of 25 points. Earned 4 activity points.

Sounds like a great walk! Funny how I just had Sweet potato pancakes this morning. 🙂 Ever go to Portage Bay Cafe? Yummy!

LOL yea I saw that and laughed but I had them at home. I have never been to Portage Bay Cafe.
