So appearently our lovely unseasonable weather goes away tonight 🙁  The dogs and I both enjoyed the sun but alas it is February and the rest of the country is freezing.

Today I added the bowflex back into my routine, I like the 30 day shred workouts but honestly I am getting enough cardio and doing some serious strength training probably makes more sense.  So I did a nice workout that hit all the major muscle groups and was surprised that in 2 months I have lost some of the strength I had built up 🙁 booo that  sucks, I guess the other lighter stuff that I was doing (the Firm, 30 day shred) didn’t work me as hard.  So today I did 2 miles on the treadmill doing intervals.  I did 1 minute at a 10% grade then 2 minutes recovery at my 1.5% grade, rinse and repeat.  I think Wednesdays intervals will be speed based.  Then I did 40 minutes on the bowflex doing 3 sets of 12 reps on all the major muscle groups.

For Breakfast I had yogurt and granola and a nasty pear I could only finish half of. For lunch I finished the leftover Sausage, Bulgar and Kale.  Ben had his cold and said it was good cold so I’ll have to try that next time.  For dinner I pulled out Winter Squash Lasagna with raisins and pine nuts from the freezer.  I love my food saver, the lasagna had no freezer burn and maintained all its moisture.  This appliance rocks.

Ate 24.5 of 25 points. Earned 5 activity points.

Snack (2) 6 walnut halves

Dinner (8)–Winter Squash Lasagna with raisins and pine nuts (6), Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Brown Butter (2)

Snack (1) chocolate pudding

Running Weekly totals used 22.5 of 35 weekly points, earned 12 activity points
