Intervals and Meatless Monday. February 15th Food and Exercise Journal

Today I decided to do some interval training on the treadmill and I really got my heartrate up there a few times.  Does anyone else find that as you get more fit you burn less calories and that’s frustrating? 😛 Yes, fitness is great but I want that calorie burn!  I did 30 minutes on the treadmill followed by level one of 30 day shred.  I learned my lesson and ate breakfast before my workout.  I had greek yogurt sweetened with some maple syrup and granola.  For lunch I had hot and sour soup and an asian pear.  For dinner I made a delicous Veggie and Bean Chipotle Chili in the slow cooker.  This is the second recipe I have made out of Slow Cook It! The new WeightWatchers cookbooks and both have been a hit.  I love the slow cooker its so easy to just set it and forget it.  Tonight’s recipe was a hit with both Ben and I.  I made some adjustments up front but from there it needs no other adjustments, just yummy and thick and HUGE filling portions

Ate 23 of 25 points. Earned 5 activity points.

Breakfast(6.5) –Yogurt (2), Granola (3.5), maple syrup (1)

Lunch (6)–Hot and Sour Soup (6), asian pear (0), zucchini (0)

Dinner (8)–Veggie and Bean Chipotle Chili (5), Cornbread (3)

Snack (2.5)–TerrAmazon Cacao Nibs with raisins and coconut

Running Weekly totals used 28.5 of 35 weekly points, earned 14 activity points

Yeah, it totally bums me out that I don’t burn nearly as many calories during each workout….but I just compensate buy pushing extra hard! Ugh…that’s tiring, though.

I do too but eventually I won’t be able to, I’ll have to live with a smaller calorie burn or workout 3+ hours a day…
